Ahhh the heat of summer is never as wonderful as when you know you'll be plunging into the cool depths of a swimming pool. That's where I'm off to this evening. Good friends and clear, clean water to play in.

Rainy days and the blues

With grey rainy days comes the blues. Today could easily be a day to allow yourself to wallow in self doubt and pity. Instead I feel the breathe of spring rejuvenating me. With this comes a change in the melancholy music that has wrapped my spirit in it's comforting embrace. The weather is allowing Soul music to take over. Music that cuts deep, makes you stand up and belt it out with the singer. Sounds that make you feel empowered.

My little world has had it's ups and downs lately but last night there was a spark that what was will be again. That brings me more joy than I could have ever imagined. Here's hoping all of you are in high spirits today as well!!

"I'm Gonna Leave You" is available only on some promotional copies of the album.
"The Last Time" is available only on some promotional copies of the album.
"Midday On Mars" is exclusive to Target's Red Room Vol. 3 compilation.
"Mean Sleep" A duet with Van Hunt was also said to be in the works, which may have been this song that appeared on his album On The Jungle Floor in 2006.

"Denial Twist", a version of the White Stripes song, is currently featured on Costa's MySpace page
"Maybe Baby" is a new original song, also currently being featured on Costa's MySpace page. It is being used in promotional spots for NBC's upcoming new series Lipstick Jungle
