Welsh... a beautiful language... sometimes ^.~

I know a lot of my recent posts since starting this blog have been about Duffy ... but lets face it its rare for an artist to captivate me thus.. and so I have to share this addiction, after all this is MY blog about MY musical confessions... so I confess I'm addicted to this gals sound and vocals. She has even caught the attention of iTunes as she is currently the FREE SINGLE OF THE WEEK!!! so here are some rare tracks I've gathered online with much love and help from people around the world (and the aid of iTunes).

More Duffy... oh my.. the addiction is strong

Ok... I admit it I'm loving this girls voice. I'm also love that she's releasing singles and albums on Vinyl!!! One more notch in the great artist spot is that she's also putting b-sides on all of her singles here is the one that escaped my clutches the longest its called "Save It For Your Prayers" its a stripped down piano and vocal track and it astounds me they left it off the album (the album IS amazing on its own though)

Alana Grace

So some new tracks are leaking for Alana Grace's next album and here they are

Breaking

Can't Go Back

Obsession

Cold Day For August

Don't mess with imperfection!!

Saving Jane put up a song on their myspace they are trying to pass off as "new" .. maybe.. I've had it for a while... most people don't know they had a great "acoustic" album before Girl Next Door.... it was called Something To Hold On To... I'm missing one track from it cause it used to skip horribly so I deleted it...here it is for the most part though...

...cause it's too hard to walk away.

Mad Marge and the Stonecutters... there's a short story of how I was introduced to this band. I was clicking around seeing the updates on my friends profiles and I noticed my girl Sarah had this really really amazing song on her profile called "Shake" and it really really bitch slapped me and made me listen to it.. and when music does that I know its good. The band has a really unique rock sound with lots of 'slap-bass' and heavy guitars and pulsating drums the vocals are just out of this world, often comapared to Gwen Stefani you can see "Mad Marge's" vocal similarities.. but she's SOOO much better and on key than anything Gwens' ever done (and she does it without mic enhancements!). Their band name comes from a bunch of "Simpsons" episodes and only adds to the quirky awesome nature of this band. Check them out, the album is a delayed release called LIBERATED! and is hands down the best rock album to be released in all of 2007.

Dusty Springfield

I was recommended, due to my recent "addiction" with Aimee Duffy, to listen to Dusty Springfield.. so download her Greatest Hits with me... curl up with some wine, or a glass of tea and have a listen...
